When creating a bulk load file for Bulk Add Alert and using a csv file, it's important that the field separator be a comma. If you're working in a region where the comma is used as a decimal separator it's possible that a different character, such as a semi-colon, could be used by Microsoft Excel on Windows as the field separator.
There's an easy solution to this.
- Go to Windows Start > Settings > Region and Language > Additional Date, Time, and Regional settings > Change Date, Time or Number Formats.
- Click on Additional Settings and type in a comma for the List Separator.
- Then Apply > OK.
CSV files should then be created using a comma to separate the fields in your file.
